THE TASK OF DAY 3

DAY THREE – TAKE THREE
After starting off the day by unveiling the new topic “Take Three! Three components combined to a new product”, the FutureLab_16 will sonn be abounded with over 60 fresh ideas related to packagings and materials found at the ProSweets.

Unfortunately we had to start with a short delay. Due to the train accident, the students taking lines 3 and 4 had to arrive a little bit later to the Workshop. But don’t worry! Our students are already working hard to present their ideas on time at 11:00 am.

So if you got curious, feel free to join our next presentaion.

THE AFTERNOON PRESENTATION

After two hours of sketching and working the students came up with six detailed concepts, originated in the chosen ideas from the first presentation. These concepts and their first rough models were then presented to the trade fair audience. Further on, the best three concepts will be realised as a model, which is then presented at the FutureLab at 16:45.

Scanning the trade fair

The students are back from lunch and are currently scanning the trade fair to find materials and products to use for their final model/mock-up. If you see a hasty, nervous person in a bright orange t shirt, asking for material samples – please be kind and support their query …

And don’t forget to visit the FutureLab for the final presentation at 16:45!

Fakebook
Great book, fake look

There are plenty of places which are not appropriate for eating and drinking. It is hard to bring food inside those places such as in museums, libraries, theatres and so on.

Therefore, we designed a fake book which can hide drinks and snacks. No one would notice that you are eating or drinking from your book.

We built the prototype by using a black box arranged its format and look. We also arranged several items that we collected from the trade fair. For example, edible papers, pencils and snacks. For the drinks, we made a retractable liquid package inside the book. By pulling the straw out, the drink will automatically open. And push the straw down to close it.

Enjoy events without getting caught.

Boom – Boom Karneval
A burst of sensations

Cologne’s Carnival is all about celebration and colors. Candies are thrown all around the city and locals as well as tourists love to wear funny customers and hats.

“Boom Boom Karneval” is the most amazing hat you will ever find. With this unique hat you will be the king of the party and everyone will want to celebrate with you. It includes three funny features: a candy burst, a confetti explosion and a noisy blowout.

When you blow through the straw, an explosion of colorful confetti comes out. While you pull the thread, sweets come out and people around you will have fun catching them. Strongly blow on the blowout to make a big noise, announce the party and make everybody dance.

Unstuck
Get it off like a pro!

We all know those delicious, but sticky chewing candies. But we used to pay for it by trying to get the annoying gummy off our teeth for half an hour.

But with “UNSTUCK” you won’t be bothered anymore.

We integrated a portable finger toothbrush and paste into the package, so you can now enjoy your favorite gummies with healthier and cleaner teeth.
